Call to Artists: Cake and Champagne

Members of Tryon Painters and Sculptors are invited to contribute work for an annual fundraiser event to be held on October 2, 2025, at the gallery from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

2D artists: paint an 8 x 8 inch canvas supplied by TPS. For your composition, consider being inspired by cake and champagne! Come by the gallery to sign out a canvas. Completed pieces must be wired for hanging and have the sides finished.

3D artists: create a 3D piece that is approximately 8 x 8 inches. Clay can be supplied by TPS. Consider being inspired by cake & champagne. Bisque and glaze firing of these pieces can be done at no charge.

Finished pieces in both 2D and 3D to be returned to the gallery no later than September 29.

As you know, Tryon Painters and Sculptors is a non-profit organization. Our mission is to support our members and our community. In order to fulfill that mission and to pay our expenses, TPS is dependent on fundraising, sponsorships, grants and gifts.

The 8 x 8 inch paintings and 3D pieces will be offered at $100 each and all proceeds from those will help us with our financial needs, including providing supplies for classes and workshops, helping to pay for our new roof and the facelift of the front of our building. We are so grateful to the Polk County Community Foundation and the Tryon Downtown Development Association for grants that provided partial funding for the roof and façade work.
