Our most recent opening reception, Harmonies of the Foothills, saw a strong turnout, with more than 150 people visiting the gallery to support the 116 artists represented in the exhibit.

We would like to thank PacJAM for providing the evening’s music and Sagrada for the appetizers. Events like these highlight the strength of our local arts community, and we appreciate everyone who attended to see our members' latest work.

TPS also welcomed guest artist, Bob Doster (pictured), a metal sculptor, whose career spans 43 years with work in collections worldwide. He has taught more than 150,000 students ranging in age from four to 80. As a visiting teaching artist he has helped students create sculptures for themselves and as legacy gifts for their schools in the Carolinas and Illinois.
Bob has donated the "Circle of Hands," a sculpture created in collaboration with Tryon Elementary School students. The work will be available during the silent auction at our Art Festival Fundraiser on April 25. Proceeds will be divided between the Tryon Elementary School's art program and TPS to support local arts and artists.
