Meet New Board Member Rachel Dickson

Rachel Dickson is honored to be considered for the TPS Board. Her love for art and community goes back to 2001, when she first dreamed of opening a cooperative gallery in downtown Jackson, Tennessee. That dream became the Dickson Gallery of Fine Art — a vibrant, two-story space that grew to represent more than 30 regional artists and served as a creative hub for three wonderful years. Even though its doors closed in 2008, the experience shaped Rachel deeply. She learned how to build community around art, promote local artists, and celebrate creativity as something that belongs to everyone. Today, as both an artist and TEDx speaker, Rachel is passionate about sharing that same spirit through creativity, connection, and storytelling. She believes wholeheartedly in what TPS stands for, and would love to help more people discover and connect with the art being created right here in our community. 

And by the way, our People’s Choice Award was Rachel’s idea.
