Our recent Plein Air event on Saturday, November 23, was a resounding success. Participants gathered at various stations featuring penciled sketches of local icons on canvas like Morris the Horse, the Clock Tower, the Movie Theatre, and Nina Simone. Our volunteers provided paints and brushes, encouraging passersby to contribute their artistic flair to the canvases. A diverse group of people, from children to seniors, and even TRIFF celebrities, participated in this creative endeavor.
The paintings are currently on auction and will end today at the closing event at the Tryon Movie Theatre.
